Kimera Industries recently started a Kickstarter campain (by now they are everywhere) for the development of its new case, the Cerberus, which according to the little startup, is intended for all those who “wants only the best” and are not willing to compromise between hardware and available space in the case.
The Cerberus is a mATX case, with a minimal design and ultra-compact, provided with an handle for transport, with an internal layout without any kind of obstruction and capable to accommodate motherboards with a mATX size and up to two graphic cards in SLI or Crossfire.
Despite its small size, "303 x 170 x 354mm, 18.2L" it allows to carry CPU heatsinks with an height up to 148mm and graphic cards with a length up to 329mm, moreover it’s included, at the height of the CPU, a holder thought for AIO kits, that could be used even for another hardware, like an SFX or SFX-L power supply, moreover it’s expected another model of this case with a form factor ATX PSU support.
The case is optimized for the air flow as a matter of fact it mounts a system, called “Infinite Vents”, of mesh panels with wide grids which not only drastically diminish the air impediment but serve even as support for the hardware assembly.
"And that’s all people", premising that this is a personal consideration, but I can’t see any striking innovation in this case, if not for the price.
The base Cerberus, of which you can decide the color fo the panels, Black or White, and the possibility to have a whole frame for the mounting of ATX PSUs, has a price of $249 + shipping costs, too much in my opinion, even if it’s built all in high quality aluminum, it’s still too much and it’s not all:

- And last but not least Cerberus Limited Edition: meaning the Signature Edition with the possibility to customize the external color in any way you want for $999.
As happy as I could be to see new companies approaching this market I think that we still have to keep our feet on the ground, similar solutions are way far from the budget of the masses, it’s different although if you want to produce something for a “niche” market, for those with the “big money”, but I, as an example, would hardly invest all these money for something similar, moreover in a market where there are plenty of societies which offer similar products, probably with lower quality materials but with a price considerably lower.

Nonostante le sue dimensioni compatte "303 x 170 x 354mm, 18.2L" permette di ospitare dissipatori CPU con altezza fino a 148 mm e schede video con una lunghezza fino a 329 mm, inoltre è presente internamente ad altezza CPU un supporto pensato appositamente per i kit AIO ma che all'occorrenza può essere usato anche per ospitare altro hardware, tra cui anche alimentatori SFX o SFX-L, inoltre è prevista una versione del case con supporto per PSU di form factor ATX.
Il Case è ottimizzato per il flusso d'aria, infatti monta un sistema, chiamato "Infinite Vents", di pannelli in mesh con griglie larghe che oltre a diminuire drasticamente la restrizione all'aria fungono anche da supporti per il montaggio hardware.
"E questo è tutto gente", premetto è una mia considerazione personale, ma non riesco a trovare alcuna "novità eclatante" in questo case, se no per quanto riguarda il prezzo.
Il Cerberus modello base, di cui potrete scegliere la colorazione dei pannelli, Bianco o Nero, e la possibilità di avere la frame interna per il montaggio di PSU ATX, ha un costo di $249 + spese di spedizione, davvero troppo a mio avviso, sarà pure tutto in alluminio di alta qualità ma restano comunque troppi, e non finisce qui:

Allora, mi fa piacere vedere che ci sono nuove società che si lanciano in questo mercato ma credo che bisogna anche fare i conti con la realtà, soluzioni simili sono ben lontane dalla portata di molti, il discorso cambia se si vuole produrre qualcosa per un mercato di "nicchia" per chi ha "big money" insomma, ma sinceramente io difficilmente spenderei tutti questi soldi per qualcosa di simile, tra l'altro in un mercato dove vi sono tante altre società che offrono prodotti simili, sicuramente con qualità dei materiali inferiori ma dal prezzo notevolmente più contenuto.
