For the CPU we picked up the Intel i5-6600K, a quad core cpu no HT and 3.5GHz stock frequency.
Nothing to say about this CPU, it's the TOP I5 of the skylake series, obviously the "K" indicates that this cpu have the multiplier unlocked, so you can easily overclock that.

As Motherboard, we went with the MSI Z170A Krait, it has value for money, a lot of interesting features, one of the only problems with this mobo is that the SATA ports have their connections facing up, which may result unhandy if you are thinking about upgrading it later to a dual GPU build, but leaving this aside it’s a very solid and reliable motherboard.

As for the CPU Cooler we chose the Cryorig H7, in this price range we still avoid to go with the AIO solutions, personally I love this cooler and it fits perfectly the color scheme of the motherboard we talked about before.

For the RAMs, we liked this Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2x4GB kit at 2400MHz, even here you can choose something else, different brands, lower frequencies and so on, it’s a choice given mostly by the budget you gave yourself, moreover if you are building this pc for gaming 8GB are more than enough.

As for the Storage, differently than our last week budget build we added a western digital caviar blue of 1TB and even an SSD with 120GB of storage, the Kingston SSDNow V300, nothing surprising but with value for money.

For the graphic solution we went with the one that most consider the best GPU to play in 1080p, the NVIDIA GTX 970, in particular the G1 gaming from Gigabyte
At that price it looked like the best solution, we are talking about of one of the most factory overclocked versions on the market and with a windforce 3x heatsink that gives margin for further overclock.

As PSU even this time we included the XFX PRO 550W with 80+ bronze certification, it’s a good psu that does its job, the oem is Seasonic and the platform is the S12II, in any case 550W are more than enough for our system and they will give you a little margin if you are thinking about overclocking, for the more skeptical I’d like to stress that a 80+ Bronze certifies a PSU efficiency of about 85% with a load of 50%, this set up has a full load (meaning on the benchmarks during the stress tests) of about 350W in total, do your calculations.

For the Case we liked the Corsair Spec-03 white, a good case with a lot of features and a pretty good price, moreover in bundle there are 3 fans, 2 of which with LED lighting (white in this instance).

CPU Cooler: CRYORIG H7 49.0 CFM CPU Cooler ($43.53 @ Amazon)
