For the CPU we picked up the Intel i3-6100, a dual core with HT, 3.7GHz stock frequency and a TDP of 51W, moreover it’s possible to overclock this CPU thanks to the latest bios updates of some MoBos, by tweaking the BCLK, there are clearly solutions on the same level and even cheaper, both by Intel and AMD (FX-6300 or Athlon X4 860K), but we loved the idea to try the OC on this non-K Skylake CPU.

For the Motherboard our choice went to the Asus Z170M-Plus, in this price range there is not much difference between brands, in any case since the CPU chosen previously we recommend a solid product that would offer you the chance to OC, in fact only Asus, Asrock and Supermicro will let you overclock the non-K Skylake CPUs.
If you are not planning to OC you can save up going on another product, even produced by a different brand, with a lower-end chipset as the H170 or the B150, moreover the socket 1151 will let you a margin for future upgrades.

As CPU cooler we went for a Cryorig H7, a very performant and economical solution, we could have gone for the classic Hyper 212 Evo but we wanted to change a little, furthermore it was not compatible with the chosen case, even in this case if you are not planning on Overclocking you can easily use the Intel stock heatsink and save up.

As for the RAMs, we wanted to give a shot to the DDR4 kit 2x4GB by G.Skill at 2400MHz, even in this case you can safely go on other brands, lower frequencies and so go, it’s a choice taken mostly for the budget you decided to spend.

For the Storage the choice is yours, quantity or speed, we included in our build a Western Digital Caviar blue with 1TB of storage but you can go for an SSD, at the moment you can find cheap ones even of 240GB.

As Graphic Solution we went with AMD, the Radeon R7 370 is a good GPU that, even with some waiver, will let you play every actual title in 1080p, moreover the GPU version has a high performance and silent aftermarker cooler with a discreet OC margin.
In our minds there is no Nvidia solution with a better value for dollar.

For the Power Supply we decided to put in a XFX 550W with 80+Bronze certification, a good power supply that does its job, 550W are more than enough for our system and will give you a slight margin in case of OC.

As for the Case we picked up the Corsair Carbide 100R, a good affordable case with a lot of features, alternatively there is the NZXT Source 210.

The prices in € are not so far from the ones in $, what is to be said is that this set up can be a little more expensive for who, like us, lives in Italy due to the import prices.
As always for questions or suggestions feel free to leave a comment.

For this new new year we wanted to propose you some set ups, the Best of 2015 divided by price ranges, but we would like to make you part of this, so here’s our idea.
It will be YOU to make up this Best of 2015 set ups, voting the best components in the various polls per price range, the set ups will be 3: the budget one (~600€), mid-range (~900€), and enthusiast (~1600€), monitor and peripherals not included.

The polls will be released during January starting from today with the budget build as first, the target is to get to the weekend with the set up and go on with the others.
Considering that in the budget set ups the Motherboards are actually very close in performance, and the same is with the RAMs, here's a poll to decide YOUR Best Budget Build of 2015.

If in any case you have any preference or suggestion, maybe based on your CPU choice, write it in the comment:.
